Six criteria, each weighted. Every score is about how the product is built, not about how good any individual astrologer is, because that is not something anyone can measure fairly.

What we do not do, and who does it better
Anantrix has no human astrologers. If what you actually want is to describe your situation to a person and hear them think it through, no amount of software replaces that, and Astrotalk is the biggest place to find one. We also do not have the widest set of open calculators. AstroSage and Prokerala both offer more to calculate without paying, and they have offered it for longer.
What we do is narrower. We compute the chart properly, then write what it says in language you already speak, for one price you can see before you start.

Is this comparison independent?
No, and we will not pretend otherwise. We build Anantrix. The rubric, the weights and the scores are published above so you can disagree with them, change the weights and reach your own answer. We also name the categories where other products beat ours.
What is the difference between Vedic and Western astrology?
Vedic astrology uses the sidereal zodiac, which tracks the constellations as they actually sit today. Western astrology uses the tropical zodiac, tied to the seasons. The two have drifted about 24 degrees apart, so most people get a different sun sign in each system. Vedic also uses 27 nakshatras and dasha periods, which give it timing that Western astrology does not have.
Do I need my exact birth time?
For the deepest parts of a reading, yes, because the ascendant moves about one degree every four minutes. Moon based work such as compatibility and Sade Sati is far more forgiving and still works with an approximate time.
Is astrology software more accurate than a human astrologer?
Software is more consistent, which is a different thing from being more accurate. A program applies the same classical rules the same way every time, so the same chart always produces the same answer. A human brings judgement and can weigh your situation, but two humans can read one chart differently.
