The 12 Houses
The twelve houses, or bhavas, are the twelve sections of a Vedic birth chart, each traditionally associated with an area of life. In the whole-sign system, the rising sign becomes the First House, followed by the remaining signs in zodiac order. Interpret the sign, house ruler and any planets there together; an empty house does not mean that area of life is absent.

Questions, answered.
Does an empty house mean that life area is missing?
No. Empty means no listed planet occupies that house in the displayed chart. Traditional reading can still consider the house's sign, its ruling planet and relevant aspects or timing. It does not mean you cannot have a family, career or relationship.
Why do planets appear in different houses on another website?
First check the birth time and location, then the zodiac and house system. Whole-sign houses assign one complete sign to each house; other systems can place house boundaries differently. Compare the settings before treating a changed house as a changed planet position.
