Sun in Scorpio: the Vedic interpretation
Scorpio is ruled by Mars in the classical Vedic scheme. Sun interpretations here often consider privacy, resolve and how a person handles matters that require sustained attention. Mars's placement and the Sun's house provide important context.
Modern Western sources may describe Pluto as Scorpio's ruler. Anantrix's classical Vedic rulership uses Mars, so the two conventions should be named when comparing readings.
A question for reflection
What needs patient attention, and what would be easier if you shared the responsibility?
Check the placement before reading the meaning
Surya Rashi (the Sun's zodiac sign) is separate from Janma Rashi (usually the Moon's sign at birth). This page concerns the Sun. Our Scorpio daily horoscope instead uses the sidereal Moon sign.
Our full birth chart uses Lahiri ayanamsa (the offset between tropical and sidereal positions). Birth year and time can matter near a sign boundary. A birthday range alone cannot confirm a Vedic Sun sign.
Read why sidereal and tropical signs differ and how Sun, Moon and rising signs fit together.
